The 2015 Convenience Store News Industry Forecast Study projects an optimistic view of business conditions for convenience store retailers this year. The 13th annual Industry Forecast Study has been significantly expanded to deliver more forward-looking insights than ever before. As in past years, the exclusive CSNews Industry Forecast Study provides dollar and volume projections for key c-store product categories based on data from various sources, including Nielsen for category sales history; TDLinx for store counts; and government sources for motor fuel volume and pricing data. The data is run through a sophisticated projection model that is analyzed by CSNews' consulting economist Maureen Maguire, founder and CEO of New York-based ThinkResearch.
Along with the individual forecasts for the product categories of most importance to c-store retailers, the report also provides an overall U.S. economic outlook.
And, new this year, CSNews also conducted a survey of convenience store retailers to get the operators' forecast for 2015.
The CSNews industry Forecast also includes an outlook on the federal legislative and regulatory landscape for c-stores. This 46-page pdf also includes interviews with the CEOs of two leading c-store firms, Wawa and E-Z Mart, who discuss their views of 2015 business conditions.
