Despite the sluggish economy, foodservice sales were up during the first half of 2010 compared to a year ago, according to retailers surveyed in Convenience Store News’ 2010 Foodservice Study. Study includes sales and profitability analysis of prepared food, cold dispensed beverages and hot beverages, sales by daypart, gross margins, promotional activity and food costs. The study also examines the types of foodservice programs offered, where food is prepared, analyzes of labor and space allocations, and in-store equipment used. As a special bonus, this year’s report also includes commentary and insights from c-store retailers at CSNews’ 2010 Foodservice Roundtable. Total report is 10 pages and includes 18 tables of data.
